The historic 7 Mile House restaurant announces ‘2nd Annual Cow Palace Burger Eating Challenge’ beginning tomorrow - September 20, 2016, in partnership with the Cow Palace Arena & Event Center, and The 70th Annual Grand National Rodeo. People may participate by dining in at 7 Mile House and ordering the Cow Palace Burger; those who finish the entire burger (see contest rules), will receive one ticket to the Grand National Rodeo and be invited to compete in the semi-finals taking place at 7 Mile House, on October 13, 2016. A proclamation will be presented tonight to the Cow Palace for their 75 years of service and contributions in the community, presented by the city of Daly City, and the California State Assembly. The Cow Palace is an arena and multi-use event and exposition center, and home of the annual Grand National Livestock Expo, Horse Show and Rodeo. The venue has a rich history hosting world class concerts from The Beatles to the Rolling Stones; and notable sporting events including The San Francisco Warriors first NBA championship win in 1975, and the first home of the San Jose Sharks.
