Jazz Community Thrives At 7 Mile House
Tuesday, April 5, 2016, Brisbane, CA - With a reputation for bringing world class jazz artists into its intimate setting, 7 Mile House will bring you an experience like no other for this year’s Jazz Appreciation Month (JAM), taking place throughout the month of April. As a destination for live music in the Bay Area/Peninsula, 7 Mile House has put together a stellar lineup of JAM events including notable Bay Area veteran artists - Vince Lateano, Al Molina, Dave Bendigkeit and Andrew Speight playing three times a week. Local Jazz station, KCSM, will be guests of honor on Monday, April 11, for their dedication to preserving and promoting the legacy of jazz music. In between sets by Dave Bendigkeit’s Keepers of the Flame, KCSM staff and DJ’s will host a jazz themed trivia game with prizes. On Tuesday, April 12, Andrew Speight & Michael Zisman’s Jazz Master & Student Night with San Francisco State will gather both veterans and novices to jam together. 7 Mile House's nine-year strong jazz program continually grows with a newly formed ‘Jazz Appreciation Club’, and a jazz focused blog in partnership with music journalist Jeff Kaliss as 7 Mile’s official “Jazz Ambassador”.

“My goal is to bring everyone in, which is why if you look around, it’s a very diverse clientele,” says owner Vanessa Garcia. “We don’t charge a cover, but we do business like musicians, we’re very passionate about people enjoying the music. That feeds our soul, that’s our reward.”
