Journey for Justice Book Tour: CHICAGO, IL (Day 2, Event 2)

  • Budlong Woods Branch, Chicago Public Library 5630 North Lincoln Avenue Chicago, IL, 60659 United States (map)

Gayle Romasanta is currently touring the U.S to educate the public about Filipino American labor leader, Larry Itliong, and will be in Illinois with a book talk and signing at the Budlong Woods Branch, Chicago Public Library.

A hot topic in education right now is the current debate about California's Ethnic Studies model curriculum. Gayle Romasanta, co-author of the illustrated children's book Journey For Justice: The Life of Larry Itliong, brings a great perspective to the debate of Ethnic Studies as publisher of the first book of its kind about a Filipino American historical figure that has been largely unrecognized.
