The PapaLoDown Agency is a boutique public relations company specializing in people of color & women of color led businesses and organizations. Through publicity and brand awareness the PapaLoDown team amplifies the unique stories behind each project; that in turn will create buzz, increase conversion rates, and build lasting relationships in the communities our clients serve. The company’s well rounded background in retail/fashion, music, art, entertainment, education, and youth empowerment provides clients with over 20 years of experience, and a diverse network of resources. The company was founded by Paloma B. Concordia in 2009, and is located in the San Francisco, Bay Area.

Paloma B. Concordia - Founder of PapaLoDown Agency

Paloma B. Concordia was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, and gives credit to New York City for developing her business savvy state of mind. Her education and career began in the fashion and retail industry, (*graduating cum laude with an A.A in Merchandise Marketing & Management from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in San Francisco, and a B.A. in Marketing from the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising in New York City), and transitioned into the music business at the height of the digital media boom. Inspired by progressive artists in the Bay Area, Paloma began to explore youth empowerment programs and social justice initiatives, and found her passion in supporting the progressive arts community through public relations.

Paloma has served as a program coordinator in partnership with Beats Rhymes and Life, and the East Bay Asian Youth Center in Oakland, CA, as well as a Program Director with non-profit arts organization, the Estria Foundation.

Combining her experience in these fields, she founded the PapaLoDown Agency in 2008, a boutique public relations company specializing in a client base of entrepreneurs and community orgs in the arts, entertainment, and youth empowerment spaces.

Paloma has also served as the Board Vice President for Village Nursery School, Daly City's premier co-op preschool. When she's not working with clients, Paloma is busy at home with four boys, (ages 16, 6, and 5 year old identical twins)!

Kristen Soller is a tropical fruit native to the Sunshine State, and currently based in Miami. Following a deep curiosity about dialogue, listening and people, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology while also studying art, design and journalism at the University of Miami. With over five years of experience in project management, copywriting and graphic design, Kristen has helped clients verbally and visually tell their brand stories. Seeing the potential of audio storytelling, she currently produces Kidnapped for Dinner, a podcast about disorienting moments in the creative process. She is also always thinking about food and is easily excited about what to cook next.

Laurenmarie Reyes - Creator of aim for zero

Laurenmarie Reyes is a Bay Area native and currently based in the magical city of New Orleans. From starting as an Apprentice to becoming a PR Coordinator, she has evolved through several roles since 2011 on the PapaLoDown team. Past campaigns include APAture (2017), United States of Asian America Festival (2018), and UNDISCOVERED SF (2018). Now she is with us as the brain behind aim for zero, a project by the PapaLoDown Agency and a blog interview series featuring leading voices in the zero waste and low waste game. Catherine Judge - Operations/HR

Catherine-Mercedes Judge is currently based in New York City and has spent the last ten years managing social justice and leadership development initiatives with non profit organizations in The San Francisco Bay Area, New York City, and Boston. She developed and honed her public and media relations skills at The PapaLoDown Agency where she started as the company's first apprentice in 2010 and later worked as a PR assistant and manager. Catherine graduated with her MPA from Baruch College (CUNY) through the National Urban Fellows program, and a Bachelor’s in Urban Studies from Queens College (CUNY).

Robin Castel Navarro was born in San Diego and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is a candidate of the Masters of Social Work program at California State University East Bay and has been organizing with social justice advocates in San Francisco and New York.  She has served as an Event Volunteer Coordinator for non-profit arts organization the Estria Foundation, and was a co-founding member of Filipina for Rights and Empowerment (FIRE) in New York, which is now known as GABRIELA NY. Currently, she is one of the core organizers of Salupongan International, advocating for the Lumad (indigenous people) and their right to self-determination in Southern Mindanao, Philippines. Her love for the arts began at a very young age exploring different mediums. She has been using graphic design as a way to express her new modern love. As PapaLoDown Agency’s Graphic/Site Designer, she enjoys assisting clients reach their goals and being part of their success.


Selena Navarro, Digital Marketing Coordinator

Selena Navarro, Digital Marketing Coordinator

Selena Navarro is a Southern California native, making her mark in the industry of digital marketing. With three years of experience in digital and social media, Selena has been able to fully immerse herself in the field and offer a unique perspective. It is this special ability that not only sets her apart from her contemporaries, but has also led to an average of 150% monthly increase in organic traffic to all her projects. Selena recently joined the PapaLoDown Agency team as a Digital Marketing Coordinator, where she'll utilize her expertise in social outreach and digital marketing. She is also actively involved in her community and in 2012 founded the Filipino Student Union, which was implemented in high schools across the city of Corona, CA. She currently attends Cal State Fullerton as a double major in English and Education, where she is set to be published as a contributing writer for the graduate program’s “100 year anniversary of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein”.

Pia Cortez is a writer and a book blogger based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is the creator and curator of the book blog Libromance, where she publishes book reviews and other literary features with a queer, Filipino immigrant perspective. She is currently a contributor for Lambda Literary, New Life Quarterly, Full Stop, Positively Filipino and Hella Pinay. When she’s not writing, reading or reviewing books, she’s working on #booklook, a project on the intersection of literature and fashion. You can also find Pia surfing in Pacifica, or somewhere in the Bay on the hunt for the next best Filipino fusion food.

Jenna Peng is a recent graduate of Amherst College, where she studied postcolonial literature and nurtured her practice as a frequent reader and occasional writer of experimental poetry. Hailing from small town Pennsylvania and even smaller town western Massachusetts, she is beyond relieved to land in San Francisco and experience this hub of AAPI activism, creativity, and community. Her passion for listening to decentered voices and curating sites for collective imagining guides her work as Interviews Editor for Winter Tangerine and Editorial Assistant for the Asian American Literary Review. As PapaLoDown Agency’s PR Intern, she is looking forward to supporting the United States of Asian America Festival and celebrating the vibrancy of APIA arts in the Bay Area.
